About the MSME Champions of Change Awards 2026

Five institutions, one evening, and a national stage for the businesses that rarely get one.

Micro, small and medium enterprises are the backbone of India's economy — they create livelihoods, anchor local communities and turn everyday problems into enterprise. Yet many of the most inspiring stories never reach a national stage.

The MSME Champions of Change Awards exist to change that. Five institutions have come together to build a credible, dignified platform that recognises the entrepreneurs, enterprises and institutions shaping the future of business — bringing innovation, leadership, sustainability and measurable impact under one prestigious awards initiative.

The evening pairs honour with culture and music, connecting India's vibrant MSME ecosystem with global recognition.

Entries are assessed by a panel drawn from industry, academia, policy and the investment community; the jury and advisory panel lists the members and their affiliations. Recognition is offered across manufacturing, services, innovation, exports, sustainability and leadership, and the award categories and their criteria set out what each one asks of an entrant.

MESC

Media & Entertainment Skills Council - the sector skills council for the entertainment industry.

As a sector skills council for media and entertainment, MESC's work centres on skills standards and training for that industry. Its involvement connects the awards to the creative and entertainment side of the MSME economy, where many enterprises are small studios, production houses and service firms.

Naarad PR

PR & image strategists — public relations and image strategy for brands and leaders.

Naarad PR works in public relations and image strategy for brands and leaders. Its contribution sits on the communications side of the programme, where the task is to present enterprises and their records clearly to a wider audience.

IICS

Indian Institute of Creative Skills — creative education and skilling for the next generation.

The Indian Institute of Creative Skills works in creative education and skilling. Its presence reflects the programme's interest in enterprises that build capability in their people, which several award categories examine directly.

WASME

World Association for Small & Medium Enterprises — an international NGO serving SMEs since 1980, with UN consultative and observer status.

WASME is an international non-governmental organisation serving small and medium enterprises, established in 1980 and holding United Nations consultative and observer status. That standing gives the programme a direct link to the international SME community, which is relevant to entrants competing in export markets.

Mega Foundation

Make Earth Green Again — a foundation championing environmental responsibility.

Make Earth Green Again is a foundation championing environmental responsibility. Its involvement is reflected in the categories that assess measurable environmental results rather than stated intentions.

National recognition

A credible, jury-led honour that MSMEs can proudly carry to customers, investors and communities.

A grand cultural evening

An evening of honour, music and celebration befitting the achievements on stage.

Global network

Connections with international SME networks through WASME's global footprint.
